AI receptionist for primary care

Help with your primary care calls.

The next caller might need a sick visit, a refill, or help finding a lab report. ScribeSync answers the call, handles the steps your office allows, and gets the rest to your team.

How it works

AI receptionist for primary care, from start to finish

  1. 01

    Show us a busy morning

Bring your booking rules, refill policy, and staff contacts.

  2. 02

    Connect and test

Confirm the schedule and EHR steps with fictional patient calls.

  3. 03

    Choose your coverage

Start with overflow, after hours, or the call types your team selects.

Book the right visit in your schedule.

Use your appointment types, provider availability, and rules for new and returning patients. ScribeSync can check insurance before booking, offer open times, and reschedule or cancel an appointment through your connected system. Requests outside those rules go to your staff.

Get the refill details without another callback.

Collect the medication, pharmacy, and details your refill policy requires. With an EHR connection, the request goes to the provider’s inbox for approval. If a visit is needed first, follow your booking instructions. Without that connection, your team receives a message.

Give lab and referral requests a clear next step.

Find out which report or referral the patient is asking about and route the request to the right person. Your practice decides what information can be shared and which calls need a clinician. Hospital and on-call requests follow your contact instructions too.

Cover lunch, busy mornings, and after hours.

Keep your main number and forward calls when you need coverage. ScribeSync can also call patients about upcoming appointments or overdue follow-ups. Set the timing and handoffs around how your family practice works.

Before ScribeSync fees and practice expenses. Time value is not automatically cash savings.

Only count visits you would otherwise lose. Allow for your existing callbacks and appointments that do not take place. All starting numbers are editable examples, not industry benchmarks or measured results.

How we calculate this

Daily calls × workdays = monthly calls. Monthly calls × missed-call rate = missed calls. Missed calls × completed-visit rate = additional completed visits. Collections = completed visits × collected value. Add staff hours saved × hourly staff cost and other costs avoided for the monthly total. Multiply by 12 for the annual estimate.

Annual values assume the same activity for 12 months. Time value is not automatically payroll savings or new revenue. Collections are before practice expenses, product fees, and taxes. They are not profit.

Compare products separately. Adding estimates together can count the same staff time or patient payment twice.

Keep working in the systems your team knows.

eMedicalPractice and eDental are connected today. For notes, you can also copy and paste into any EHR. Direct booking, inbox routing, and chart transfer need a supported connection. Setup and vendor fees may apply.

Common questions

Can it book a same-day sick visit?

Yes, when your connected schedule has an opening that meets your booking rules. Requests that need clinical judgment or an exception go to your team.

Can a patient ask about a refill and then book a visit in the same call?

Yes. Patients can change topics during the conversation. Each request follows the instructions and connections set up for your office.

Will it explain lab results or approve a prescription?

Your clinician handles those decisions. ScribeSync gathers the request and follows your approved delivery and handoff instructions.

Can we start with overflow calls?

Yes. Forward calls when your lines are busy or your team cannot answer. You can also arrange after-hours coverage without replacing the number patients know.
